Maintenance Superintendent

The City of Cheney is seeking a full-time individual to supervise our Maintenance department, which includes our Water, Sewer, Natural Gas, Street and Parks departments, as well as facility maintenance. 
Pay Range: $61,360-$95,680/annual salary (Dependent upon experience and qualifications. 
DUTIES PERFORMED: Supervise department staff and oversee all aspects of the Maintenance department, manage projects, perform an assortment of maintenance work, operate a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of the City's water, natural gas, street, sewer, sidewalks, parks, Golf Course, City buildings and storm drainage facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Valid driver's license with a good driving record. CDL preferred or willing to attend CDL class provided by City. Water/Wastewater certification or ability to become a certified operator. Obtain natural gas qualifying requirements.

The primary responsibility of the Firefighter is to protect life and property.  This entails responding to fires as well as medical emergencies.  This also includes public relations that educate citizens to the importance of fire safety, medical care, utilizing fire equipment, and routine care as well as maintenance of fire equipment, and facilities.   Firefighters attend regularly scheduled meetings and training, and may be required to deliver training in those areas in which they are knowledgeable.  Firefighters may conduct fire safety presentations to the public.

GOLF COURSE GROUNDSKEEPER
POSITION SUMMARY: This position performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance and improvement of the golf course. Employees assist with the maintenance and repair activities at the golf course including pesticide and fertilizer applications, mowing and maintenance of the golf course. The employee should possess a strong mechanical aptitude as well as effective communication, organization, technical, and public relation skills.
